Guest guest
Don't you just love insurance companies? As far as the SSI, I don't think you really need the diagnosis, just be able to prove a disability. We are in the process of applying for Grace, even though it's hopeless. If she even qualifies for a disability they will tell us we make too much money. I wish they would look at the fact that I used to work full time, before Gracie started getting sick. Now I am a stay at home mom. I certainly do not regret it, but it does affect us financially. Yes, we still eat and have clothing, but we are far from rich. We are unable to have any decent savings, which you really need with a kid like this. We worry all the time about what if something happens. Keep persistent with them, they will try to make it as hard as possible. Best of luck!
Guest guest
, We were told that our son qualifies for services through Division of Developmental Disabilites but one of the criteria is that you have to be denied SSI, we never applied because through phone conversations we knew we made to much. So we are doing things kinda backwards but now that we got the written denial of SSI, DDD will now provide some services. Not sure how much help they will be able to give but any is better then none. Don't know if you have anything like this in your state but there are things out there, just gotta know what to ask for. We found out this information through a county social worker of disabilites and our psychologist, she is instrumental in knowing our neededs and getting us contacts. Just some info, didn't mean to dip. >From: albregra@... >Reply-To: Mito >To: Mito >Subject: Re: How many Drs does it take.... >Date: Wed, 28 Jan 2004 14:32:00 EST > >Don't you just love insurance companies?
