Guest guest
--- In Mito , " Tony & ne Lavender " Why not ask for Disney, the worst they can say is no. You want to ask for what you think she would really like and if that is it then go for it!! Alison

Guest guest
hi seanne, my daughter, anna grace, was granted a wish at age 2 1/2 (once she was dx with leighs) and she is nonverbal. however, the MAW staff was great in letting us decide what anna grace would want most. we too choose disney, being that anna grace loves rides, music, people and that our family had never been to disney. don't worry about how far away you live....you know best what gaby likes and would want to do or ask for please feel free to email with any specific questions. bethany mom to brennan 6, palmer & anna grace (leighs) 4 > > I live in Australia, and we are about to approach MAW on Gaby's behalf. I > would appreciate any help from parents of children who are intellectually > impaired, and little to no speach, who have made a wish on their child's > behalf. > Our wish for her has always been to take her to Disneyland, but I don't feel > comfortable saying this when we live so far away. Gaby absolutely loves any > type of theme park ride..the faster and more musical..the better. She loves > life, loves activity, loves to sing and giggle.. and is such a delight to us > all, but we don't want to wait forever,,as we all know what the future may > hold.. > > Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated > > ne, mum To Gaby, aged 8 1/2 years, PDH in Australia
Guest guest
My son ,almost 8, is considered to have MR and has no speech except for "Hi"... I have written to Make a wish twice on 's behalf and have gotten no response either time. I've always wondered if it was because he couldn't verbalize his wish for himself.... so I say ask for the world if Gaby's been granted a wish!!! (Mama to ,Mito Comlpex IV,autistic traits,MR,etc..etc....)
Guest guest
If MAW didn't respond to you, you should give them a call an ask them why. On their website it says most wishes are granted within 8 weeks and I would assume many children can't really verbalize their wish considering their situation. Maybe the letters are getting to the right place or something. wrote: My son ,almost 8, is considered to have MR and has no speech except for "Hi"...
