Joan, sorry im answering so late, im going backwards and answering only a couple emails at a time since my laptop is on the fritz. I am sorry your aunt developed complications from the shingles. i am hoping that i dont , i keep putting this cream on twenty times a day, but know that i should be on the oral medication. im also on the anti-seizure meds already and i started taking the amitryptiline that sites say can help prevent problems after the shingles go away. The pain is terrible and more and more blisters and red patches keep coming out though. its horrid and so painful. im sure its from the last remicade infusion becuase it happened only a few days later and its listed as a side effect even. who knows , maybe it was going to happen from the first one, you know i was not well after the first one, and like darlene suggested maybe its why i had such a strong

anaphylactic reaction this second time around. we will never know. sorry you are having such a down time and sleep disturbances, thats always awful. i dont know what you think i do during the day that impresses you??? it seems to me you are feeling restless and need a project to give you a feeling or sense of purpose. i know that feeling of not having anything to be committed to just makes me feel exactly like what you are feeling and procrastinating everything even when im feeling like total crap or feeling like im having okay days. i hope it gets better take care kim ns moderator OMG,

Kim!!! I just can't believe ALL of this!!! Our poor baby... My aunt developed shingles on her head and in her eye xmas day a year ago and is still being treated ... the main treatment for her type of shingles is Neurontin and Oxycontin ... oh, and percocet. I don't think you are taking neurontin any longer ... I would ask the dr. about this for sure ... the burning pain, I would imagine, is nerve pain ... but you know all too well what nerve pain feels like. My aunt used many different types of creams ... I think they may have helped her scalp a bit, but it was the neurontin that helped her eye ... she felt like a knife was stabbing her eye ... it's just been terrible ... she does have more and more good days now. My aunt developed her shingles 10 days after receiving the flu shot ... as did about 5 or 6 others who received the same batch. I tell you, what these

doctors and scientists do to us is really scary. When you were first describing your pain, I was thinking kidney stones or gallbladder. I can't believe you have stones on top of all of this, as well!!! I am praying for you all day long every day now ... hourly, if not more ... I cannot get you off my mind at times!!! sleeping, I feel like doing things ... but can't interrupt anyone's sleep. I should be on the computer in the day, but for months now, if I am not at doctors ... I've become everything I can't stand ... a lazy person. I just hate it. ... I am sitting with laundry, papers to file, papers to fill out, etc., etc., etc. ... why can't I just get up and do these things while I have plenty of time in the day??? and then, when I read all you do and all you are going through, I am so ashamed of myself.
