Mayo Clinic is well known for mitochondrial diseases. Dr. Whiteman is a very good mito doctor there. Many people on this support group use him. Another good diagnostic dr. is Shnoffner, I believe he is at the Shriners hospital in Atlanta. My daughter sees Dr. Bruce Cohen. He is at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio. He is also well known for mito diseases. I believe all of these hospitals offer fresh muscle biopsies, this is essential. There have been many wrong diagnoses with frozen biopsies.
