Dear Rose, I am glad to see you back and that you were able to sleep so much over the weekend. But dont like the sound of all that sleeping. I worry about you being off the meds...................................................... how long were you going to try that ? I am sorry about your tax situation and wish i had words of wisdom to throw your way. but i dont. im glad you feel some relief over it all being taken care of. it just seems so unfair. well at least you wont have to worry about the sherrif stopping buy for bisquits or anything else this year right? Love you, take care, Kim Hi, everybody. I feel like the guy in the movie "The Lost Weekend." I wasn't drunk, just wiped out. I have slept nearly 24 hrs. a day for the last 3 days. I got up & went to church this morning (free meal! No grits though. : ( Just bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, eggs, etc.) I withdrew

money from my retirement funds to pay off all my taxes (2004 & 2005!), plus a big chunk of my medical bills. Did you know that you can avoid the extra 10% penalty by having your doctor sign a form that you are disabled? I hated to take out retirement money--I don't have much to start with--but my insurance guy had his accountant look at it & I was better off doing that than paying all the interest & penalties from the back taxes. Plus the stress of trying to remember to make payments. Last year I forgot about my Indiana taxes & a sheriff's deputy showed up at my door with a warrant! So I'm relieved that it's done. Now I'm going to try real hard to put a little back into retirement each month. My insurance guy is going to help me work out a budget.
