Let them see you, and whoever you can get to support you, and see if that makes someone jump a little faster. I am not trying to demonize here, I understand her recent trials. But Kaiser should have a better way of accomodating her absence.Imagine the looks on their faces when they see several of us walk through the door and stand in the middle of their office. I have been in the office before, there ain't a whole lotta room. And I take up enough room for two people (or 14 Paris Hilton's).Whaddya say, Laurie? Shall we march on patient services? Guest guest
, it won't do any good to go to South Sacramento Kaiser patient assistance, you have to go to the one against who you have the complaint, in this case Fremont. I learned this when I was going through my difficulty with the psychiatrist and all that complaining I had to do. Now if you all want to go to Fremont, then I am happy to go if I can get a ride. Guest guest
Well that is a stupid policy...patient services is patient services...and I am inclined not to let that pass. Kaiser is a corporation...so each office should act as a representative for the whole. > >Hey Laurie, > > > >Since you are a Fremonter, I assume you go to South Sac Kaiser, > >correct? > > > >Actually, it doesn't matter. > > > >I have an idea. Guest guest
Oh I agree completely, but they don't! Of course I can't see what's on my Kaiser card, but apparently the only number they give on there is some kind of 800 number for patient services, and apparently that is what Laurie has called and is awaiting a call back. Sounds to me like they don't really want patients to know how to get in touch with patient services very readily. The worst part of not knowing that I had to go to the patient services involved was that I had to wait for a week before anyone told me that I had to get in touch with the hospital against who I had filed the complaint! Also maybe the 800 number on the front of the card is the number for the insurance part. Did you know they have a separate number for complaints and stuff than they have for the insurance? Anyway if you all get a force of any kind together, be sure to let me know. Guest guest
Hey ! Thanks for the post. It made me LOL, and conjured up some wonderful visuals! Actually, I live in Livermore. And I think we'd have to go to Fremont and make a fuss right there in the Bariatrics office on a Friday. Actually, I thought of doing just that today, but I had too much going on. End of year parties at the kids' school, Travon had a doctors appointment, and life got in the way. If I don't hear anything at all next week, I'm gonna go to Fremont on Friday and talk to someone face to face. If they let me through. LOL. I'm thinking they might call security and have me dragged away. If you would like to come, that would be great, but it is a long trip to freomnt for you. Thanks! Guest guest
Thanks Colleen. I was discussing with my husband today that maybe I'm just not meant to have this. Maybe it's not in the Big Plan in my life. Hubby disagreed. Laurie __________________________________ Discover Yahoo! Have fun online with music videos, cool games, IM and more. Guest guest
Hi LaWanda, yes I called the 800 number on the front of the card. The lady I talked to at that number contacted the patient assistance person at Kaiser Fremont and had her call me back. So Fremont patient assistance called me back and told me that she left a message with bariatrics, and I would get a callback that day or the next. When I called Friday, I called Fremont directly and asked the operater for patient assistance. And she was like, well golly gee, I left a message and I was sure they would call you back. She then said she left another message for them. Seems that she is willing to do nothing more. Rather inadequate if you ask me. Guest guest
He's probably right, just because Kaiser isn't doing its job doesn't mean anything except that they're not doing their job. Guest guest
Yes it is! My experience with them was that they just didn't seem to care if the patients were happy or not! Of course I've never been at all impressed by Kaiser's patient advocacy program anyway, they just don't seem to get it. Meanwhile please try not to personalize this, they treat everyone that way and that's all any of this is about. Hope you get some better results next week, I know how you feel.
