Hi my name . I was the one who had all those problems picking

the right Dr a couple of months ago. I have a new Dr who I have a lot

of confidence in. My orthodontist thinks the world of him as well.

Being there working together thats very important. It costing me some

out of pocket expsenses but it worth it. I am having my lower jaw

moved foward a couple of millimeters

This whole thing is difficult for me because I am not doing it for

cosmetic reasons. I get plenty of guy flirting with me all the time.

As far as cosmetics. I can certainly see where my jaw off. The doctor

said to me you look very attractive now but in his opinion I look

stunning after the surgery. That somewhat motivating, however I am

doing it for functional reasons. I always have soreness in my jaw. A

lot of times I feel off balance. I just think that it may be related.

I feel like I look a cow when I chew some foods. I am fine with doing

this surgery, I am just scared of what I am about to go through as

far as recovery. How long does it take till you get used your new

positing of the jaw. Any advice on how to heal quickly? I am going to

be wired for 4 weeks. How difficult is that going to be? How long

till you start feeling like yourself. Any natural methods to bring

down swelling? Dose the are where your jaw was broken feel weird for

a long time? Any comforting words wd be appreciated Thanks much

. Sorry for being long winded.
