Guest guest
Dear Alix Thanks for your response in the last message. Much of what u said was very comforting. At least I know I am not alone in getting weird unbalanced feeling possibly related to the jaw. It was really uplifting to hear that your problem was solved. Since I am about to have very similiar surgery to yours. I was wondering if the doctor told you it is common to be in pain when you try to talk too much after 5 wks? Being a teacher I may have to take off longer from work than I expected. I think you metioned you were wired for the five weeks. What is that experience like? Please tell about your experience how swollen were you after surgery? How long did it take till the swelling went down and when did you feel like showing your great new profile to the world? Did the surgery make much of a difference in your appearance? I realize everyone heals differently and I am probably older than you. I turned 40 this past year. I dont look it I am very fit and a health nut so hopefully that will effect my healing process. My doctor told me that being that he is not moving the jaw all that much the healing process in relative terms should be relatively short. How long was it till you really started feeling like the old Alix? Anyway I wish you luck in your recovery. I hope u get this message before my surgery. Wish me luck tommorow.
