Guest guest
To anyone who may find this information useful. I have established that becomes very sensitive (skin in particular) when there is even the slightest overload of zinc. All of his old problems reappear. He doesn't like his hair being brushed, washing etc etc. I now give him a very small amount of zinc a couple of times a week only, especially as he eats eggs and bread (containing eggs) quite often. It still seems enough to stop him chewing non edible things which had become a big problem. So really, what I am trying to say to anyone who is giving zinc supplements to stop chewing etc is that if sensitivities have increased since this time it may be worth trying to reduce the amount of zinc given. Hope this helps somebody out there!
