Hey everyone,

Just to introduce again, I am still pre-op (trying to set a date

some time soon). I'm going to have upper advancement and lower

reduction (bad underbite) and miiiight have the chin thing done,

depending on the cost and if insurace covers...

Anyway, I dont know if any of you know about Arnica tablets. Most

people know about the normal store bought little tablets, but

apparently those don't work because theyre simply not strong enough

for something like surgery.

While searching the net, I came across www.alpinepharm.com they have

developed stronger form of Arnica for people who have just had

surgery. Check out the site and all the interesting things that have

been mentioned in favor of it. I still want to ask my surgeon what

he thinks of it though. One problem might be that since its in

capsule form, how am i supposed to swallow it!? I wont be wired

shut, but I'm not sure if I will be able to fit a tablet in there

(any of you 'non-wired' ones know?).

I'm really worried about the swelling and bruising post-op because

althought i had no bruising when i had my lower wisdoms removed, I

did have swelling, which was not pleasant.

In addition to those tablets, which I plan to purchase, I have an

Arnica cream rub, has anyone used this? I'm a bit afraid that it

might cause me to break out or something. Anyone have any

suggestions on that?

Pleeeeease let me know what you all think about this.

Thanks,

Tas
