Guest guest
We've been on Pep and HN for two 1/2 weeks (Luke is, I mean, age 3, PDD). We're up to one whole capsule of each with every meal or snack. We are CF but not GF, and did infringe on the CF 2 nights ago - some friends brought pizza over and the poor fella wanted some. I gave him 2 Peps instead of one and I really think it did the trick. No tantrums like casein usually brings on and he went to sleep just fine afterwards, too. But here's my question - it seems as though we've hit a plateau - I see a few minor areas of regression: more emotional outbursts, some increase in hyperactivity but not much, some more spinning and repeating phrases, but again not much. In other areas I see some improvement - the biggest has been an increase in appetite, for which we are thrilled! And he's eating things he wouldn't eat before, so he's less picky, and that's wonderful! But I'm not seeing the real improvements in behavior, attention, etc. that I'm hoping for. Should we keep waiting it out or increase the dosage since we're not GF? Most every meal or snack has some form of gluten in it, I'm sure. Thanks for any input and for all your help so far!
