Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site and would appreciate any information anyone has to offer =) Just a little background on my situation...I've had braces 2x in my life, my jaw alignment was normal up until about 3 years after my braces were removed, I was about 20 at the time. My lower jaw started to shift a little to the right and forward. My ortho told me at the time that it was quite rare at that age for any more jaw growth but it happened. Long story short, I know that orthognathic surgery is normally accompanied with braces but I'm quite adament about not getting braces a 3rd time, plus my teeth have stayed pretty straight. Has anyone had surgery w/o braces, is this an option? I also live in the lower mainland in BC, any referrals of good surgeons in the area and what should I be asking during a consultation?
