I dont know if this is the group to ask this question to.. but i am

going to try. If anyone can help, please respond. I have this

problem with my lower right jaw. Ok, the back part of it near my

neck is larger than the left side. The bone actually seems to dip

lower than the other side. I have not had this problem all my life,

either. I recently noticed it when I had a problem with a tooth

getting pretty bad. I was put onto antibiotics, Penicillin VK

500mg, for 7 days at 4 doses a day. I then went to have the tooth

extracted. After the tooth was gone, I still noticed the

abnormality on my right jaw. So I went to a doctor to have it

checked out, and she prescribed the same medicine, only at a smaller

amount per day but for 10 days. Could there be something that

people are missing here? Because the jaw seems to be protruding out

more than it was before I had the tooth extracted. I looked up

something on the internet called TMJ, which sounded like symptoms I

was experiencing before the tooth was removed, such as pain in the

lower jaw on the side of the tooth and slight earaches in that ear.

But after the tooth was extracted, most of that pain went away.

There is a small dull pain in the lower right jaw now where it is

larger, and it is still somewhat tender to the touch, not as much as

it was before the extraction. Any help is appreciated.
