How long does it really take to recover (fully!)

Hi there,

I have only had my braces on for a few months and am going for my jaw

consultation at the end of the month. I have to start planning my

vacation for next year and am wondering just really how long it takes

to recover. I sit at a desk and dont have to deal with the public so

I am not too worried. Iam 26 yrs old, great health and work out lots.

I am having upper and lower jaw surgery. 2 weeks? 4 weeks?

Also with this type of surgery how long did it take you to FINALLY

feel normal again. Eating, kissing, laughing. I mean fully normal.

Its scary to hear it takes 6 months....but maybe that is me being

naive.

Anyways this site is a godsend.
