Hi Carin, my friend has lost hair due to stress but it grew back

again if thats any consolation. Apparently massage can help stimulate

growth.

My daughter who is 16 has a couple of patches of hair loss and some

shedding all over. Dr. said it could be related to surgery. It's

good to know that she is not the only one who has experienced this.

When the Dr. looked at her patchy spot, she said that she could see

some new hair growth comming in. She had surgery for a underbite,

upper moved forward and lower back. Her bite looks so great! It is

amazing. I think the hard part has been mostly the post op side

effects of surgery. Breaking out in rashy type acne and now the

hair. Hopefully things will settle down soon.

Take Care

Alice, It is not apparrent to the naked eye yet. I was " blessed " with lots of

hair. Everytime I wash or comp it the comb is full and it is all over my

pillows and clothes (kinda gross). Today I went to the hairdresser and did not

tell them of the problem. After washing my hair they said " we need to talk " , I

said " I know my hair is falling out " . They are very concerned now I am too<

At the age of 27, I lost every bit of my hair, in clumps over the course of

three months. This type of hair loss is sometimes referred to as alopecia.

I have heard other mito patients state that they too have lost their hair or

have very thin hair. In my case, it grew back but it took a long time. I

hope yours grows back too. I wore a wig for 2 years before mine grew back

enough to go without the wig.

I don't know how old you are, but might it be from a change in hormone

levels?

You can get it at any salon that sales hair products

like , etc.. It sort of pricy but as

long as it does the trick.
