Guest guest
Dermatitis Herpetiformis IS celiac disease, just a different manifestation. At the bottom of this page is a very good page on DH. http://www.celiac.com/index.html Enzymes do not help with celiac but they DO help with other food issues like dairy. One of my kids has a skin rash with other foods in addition to gluten, and the enzymes do help with those food issues. However, if a celiac person uses certain enzymes AND eats gluten, the resulting reaction is nasty [lots of stomach upset and vomiting]. I use these enzymes, for other food issues for my children. http://www.houstonni.com/ *Current* thinking is that celiac is genetic. However, there is some anecdotal evidence that celiac can actually be metal-induced, rather than " genetic " . I am chelating my children and I have found that their ability to eat gluten is improving. I am hopeful that once the metals are removed, they can resume eating gluten again. Have you had your daughter's metals tested? That might be a good step also. Here is my son's story, if you are interested. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/myson.htm Dana
