Guest guest
I wouldn't worry about too much at this point. Is sounds like you are doing VERY WELL for 2 1/2 weeks. Really. I am very glad to hear that Luke has adjusted to the enzymes now, and any infractions are going well. As long as you are seeing improvements along with the way this is good. It also sounds like the " regressions " are minor and manageable. See how it goes over the next week. My two boys continued to show gradual steady improvement month after month. Luke may be still adjusting to increased awareness and re-learning " good " behavior. It took me at least a solid month to get used to feeling good (or at least not like crud) all the time. It is just different, even if it feels better. Another thing that is commonly noted is that sometimes moody or negative behavior happens right before jumps in improvement. I was thinking the other day that I continue to do this, as is very common for most every person, NT or not. An example is working on figuring out the chelation/enzyme connection. I was working on it and working on it and getting pretty moody and irritable and withdrawn because of concentrating so hard and trying to figure out the problem. Then when it becomes clear and I figured out how it works, I felt really good and start being chipper and pleasant and social again. This is a steady process. One capsule at each meal sounds good, but if you want to increase it and see if it makes a difference that can work also and let you see if it makes a change. . Guest guest
> But I'm not seeing the real improvements in behavior, > attention, etc. that I'm hoping for. Should we keep waiting it out > or increase the dosage since we're not GF? Most every meal or snack > has some form of gluten in it, I'm sure. Thanks for any input and > for all your help so far! Three observations for you. One, casein/milk is high phenol, so if you are giving more milk products now, you might be seeing a phenol effect with your child. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/phenol.htm Two, the enzymes do not help my children with certain foods, most notably gluten. So if you see regression, it may be because of a food which the enzymes are not helping. If you try a rotation diet, where you do not give gluten or another type of food for 2-3 days, you might be able to tell which food/s this might be. Three, it does take gluten quite a while to leave the body, so the unprocessed gluten may also take a while to clear out. For this idea, you would just have to wait a few more weeks and/or months, to see if there is more improvement. Dana
