Guest guest
Ummm, Cheryl probably got to this one before I did... But SlimFast isn't apt to be the best suggestion ever for folks who are post op, especially if you're wired. Of course it is better than not downing anything. And if that's what you'll take in, and you can't stomach Ensure or Boost, then go for it. But you don't need to be sucking anything -- especially if you've had the wizzies out, too. That's a good way to get a dry socket (and that's why the syringes or zippies are better -- with them, you can squirt stuff in there. But SlimFast is designed for dieting, and you're in the reverse situation post-op, what my surgeon called " a metabolic, ketabolic situation. " Not that I know what that means, you understand. But Boost and Ensure are designed to give you high level nutrition. SlimFast is designed to limit your intake. There is, incidentally, an Ensure with fiber, and yes, you'll probably need it, to keep things working on the other end, especially since you've had a fair number of pain killers.
