Not meaning to scare you, but I was out for 6 weeks before I had the energy

to return to a full day of work. Some say less, but I would say 4 weeks is

cutting it close.

As for normal, that is real hard to say. You may have numbness that lasts

forever in your front chin and lower lips. I am 3 months post op. Im still

some what numb in cheeks, chin, and gums. It is still hard to chew and I

notice a bit of trouble in speaking. So return to normal is a hard thing to

say, but 6 months sounds like a fair estimate.

Hope that helps, good luck with your surgery.

Jen,

It took me less than 2 weeks to " feel " normal, but I didn't " look " normal

until...well, heck - I still don't " look " completely normal and I'm 11 weeks

post-op.

It really depends on the individual. Aside from the swelling, I was actually

able to start back my normal routine - energy wise - after the first week...felt

pretty good on day 5, but looked horrible.

As for feeling " fully " normal, well...I still can't eat/chew, I laugh just fine,

and Oh, how I LONG for one of my Fweetie's kisses...can't feel 'em. Heck, I

can't even feel my grandbaby's sweet little kisses, but she doesn't know that.

:-)
