Ahhhhhhh !!!!

Hey group!

Today I was brushing my teeth and one of the stitches or ties came

out of my lower lip. I almost FREAKED OUT.. I guess that's supposed

to happen.. but it scared me at first. Most of my swelling has perdy

much gone down.. My surgeon said I didn't have as much as he

expected, which was a surprise since I had upper and lower. I just

hate it when my cheek itches because I can't feel myself scratch and

its ANNOYING! I'm really starting to feel comfortable with

everything.. I just still hate the drooling.. grrrr... The splint

(not " stint " .. haha... whoops ) is still keeping me from being able

to talk clear.. but I guess thats something I'll have to get used to

for the next 5 or 6 weeks until my doc takes it out. I actually had

enough strength today to fix my own bowl of oatmeal.. whereas

previously everyone else had been waiting on me hand and foot. My

lips stay really dry.. My surgeon told me to stick with Vaseline..

but I think Blistex works better.. although when I mentioned that to

him he acted like I shouldn't use it.. no idea why. Well, hope

everyone is doing ok, and those of ya'll with surgery coming up..
