Consequences of uncorrected jaws discrepancy??

Hi everyone,

I have got a question here... Will uncorrected jaws discrepancy

cause a relapse after one has completed orthodontic treatment, i.e.

a person has jaws discrepancy such as an

underbite/overbite/crossbite, had orthodontics to align teeth and to

make the bite fits as much as possible, but did not got for

orthognathic surgery to correct the jaws? Will the teeth slowly

move back to the original position?
