Hey Alix,

I've been thinking of you and this nausea thing. I also had a nice

accompaniment to the nausea, called chronic diaharrea. Because of

that, I wanted to stay away from fruit juices for fear it would make

it worse. That left little else but milk products which caused the

mucous problem. Needless to say, I had a very rough start, getting

weaker each day as I couldn't tolerate much food. What I lived off

of, and forgot to mention to you earlier, was Vanilla and Chocolate

Boost. I'm not sure what in milk causes the mucous, the lactose?,

but whatever it was, it wasn't in the Boost. It tasted great and I

enjoyed it really really cold. But it gave an aftertaste so I

recommend the rinsing and cleaning immediately afterwards.

As for the pain meds, I don't remember how long I took them but it

certainly wasn't for 6 weeks. I think after a short time (after the

first week) I started to wean off of them and then only take when

necessary, versus around the clock. And I was only taking Motrin.

Hang in there! (and yes, 2 times and lived to tell about it! AND

SMILING! You will too)
