Thanks to all who responded to my 504 help post.  After so many responses I

though specifics may help you help me.

An education evaluation was last done 2/16/00.  The major testing showed

these results:

WRITTEN EXPRESSION/SPELLING:

K-TEA NU

Spelling 119 SS   90%

TOWL-3 (form B)

Spontaneous Writing Quotient   109 SS  73%ile

Contextule Conversations     11 ss    63%

Contextual Language 12 ss 75%

story COnstruction  11 ss 63 %

Difficulties with letter formation both in cursive and printing noted

WRMT-R, NU

Word ID   115 ss  83%ile

Word attack  124 ss 95%ile

QRI-II

Passage reading & passage comprehension were at grade level

Beery Develpopmental test of Visual motor integration

Standard    116ss 86%

DTLA

He demonstrated tremendous difficulty with recreating circular figures. Also

difficulties with sequential memory were noted.

A statistically significant difference in verbal to nonverbal abilities,

suggestion that he is more proficient in processing verbal as opposed to

visual stimuli was noted.

demonstrated a real weakness in his intellectual functioning in social

judgement. Difficulties are compounded by his inability to read social cues

and interpet social situations.

s history of depression and negative tone regardless of topic discussed,

suggested that mood plays a role in his difficulty.

Stateed was: a combination of depressed mood, obsessive features and and

intellectual profile if Asperger's Syndrome, best decrived at that time.

Diagnosis:

-depression, NOS/Dysthmia

-features of Aspergers Disorder (including pragmatic language difficulties)

-features of OCD(monitoring for possible tic emergence)

The 2 major differences that showed up in these tests may help someone guide

me to specific recomendations to have in his 504.  Since I can not predict

how the middle school transition will impact him yet, I want to cover my

butt.  Also, I hadn't wanted to pull themental health issues into the 504,

but since the suicide talk has re-emerged, I may need that to ensure help.

Ok guys, I await your help with much gratitude.
