Guest guest
Hey, I posted this to another site, but just in case there are people here who wanted to read it, here's the post: Hi everyone, I'm 18 years old I had vertical maxillary excess corrected over a year ago. The surgery did not go exactly as planned - results were not 100%, however, I do look improved. My self esteem has risen greatly. There is only the normal amount of gum exposed when I smile, however, my lips are still not together - when I put my mouth together it appears as if I am making a face... which was a HUGE let down so I am extremely disappointed about that. However, I am not going through the surgery again because I had a really tough time before... I am more confident with how I look now, even if its not exactly the way I want to look... I'm improved. The numbness has not all gone away and there is still a substantial amount through my nose, area above my upper lip, and below my chin. I probably will never regain normal feeling there. =( My face shape changed dramatically, however. Even though there were huge letdowns, I think I am glad I went through that major ordeal... I posted a few pictures in the Photos section - look under the name Cara. Anyone have any questions for me? Cara
