If not, maybe one enzyme wasn't enough to take care of all the peptides. If he is gfcf, same thing might apply. When I upped our dosage to two of each, my son went through withdrawal. I think I'd try sticking it out a little longer and maybe using some type of supplement to help with withdrawal, such as charcoal or alza seltzer gold. I'm not sure about the eczema though; some other list members could better advise you here. Good luck! Celia
Guest guest
> Hi everyone happy new year, > My son has been on both enzymes (1 of each at each meal) for 3 weeks now, nothing happened so I upped the dose to 2 of each with each meal - Bobi has now become very itchy ( ezcma), emotional ( crying for no reason ) and gets very upset, scared, anxious at certain events ( where it never bothered him before) - do you think this is a positive withdrawel sign or am I causing him upset for nothing? Is your son gf? This was my EXACT reaction to increasing Peptizyde when I was not gf. I discovered I am probably celiac, which would cause these things especially the itchy eczema [actually DH], which was triggered by using enzymes while still eating gluten. It can also be a reaction to something in the enzyme itself, which I would suspect if your son is already gf. You should back off and go back to one capsule of each for a week or so and see if it improves, or if he is not gf you should seriously consider removing gluten. If he does not improve, you can stop the enzymes, wait for him to settle back down, then try another enzyme to see if that helps. Give that a few days, then do two meals, etc. Dana
