Guest guest
I've been lurking and learning from this group for a while now, but now I need some advice. I am scheduled for lower sugery next Thursday (Jan. 29th), and my insurance just denied my pre-certification. This is the fourth time I've had the surgery scheduled, and I don't want to re-schedule again. Has anyone ever appealed after the surgery? Just an FYI- I switched to this insurance because my former insurance denied the claim even after four appeals. I am stuck in this nightmare called insurance hell! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Laurie
Guest guest
Yes. Read your policy carefully. Ask your surgeon to help you. And then file your appeal. My insurance company's claim reports all tell exactly how to do this. And you can also ask specifically for a review by a panel of oral and maxillofacial surgeons. People have done this to no avail, and others have had approval on the first appeal. Good wishes for you.
