Sounds like I have my lunch planned for Tuesday. Movie wise, I vote

for the Princess Bride if you'll be able to laugh. And just about

anything Cusack works. I saw the Tao of Steve last week which

was pretty funny too. See if any of your friends have tv collections.

One lent me two years of Sopranos after my first surgery. You never

know what's lurking...

Great suggestions. I've heard the Princess Bride is hysterical, but

I've never seen it. I'll definitely watch that and the others, too. :-)

My favorite funny movie is Indiana and the Last Crusade.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was good too. (Didn't like the 2nd movie in

the series.) If you like gentler humor, Anne of Green Gables is not

just for kids. Husbands of all ages stand in the doorway for hours

on end, swearing they're not watching that " Kids' show " even as

they're laughing at it. I even know a tough Army sargeant who

finally gave up standing in the doorway and took a spot on the couch

with the rest of his family, saying, " This isn't so bad for a kids'

show. "

A question about funny movies - can you bear to laugh after the

surgery? Right now, when I have facial/jaw pain, smiling is the

most painful thing I can do. Whenever I want to laugh, I have to

hold my face down with my hands to keep the cheekbone pain under

control. When people know I'm having bad days, they'll say, " No

laughing! " and then do something to make me laugh, just to hear me

laugh and whimper in the same breath.

Is it going to be less painful after surgery, or will I be so numb I

won't feel myself laughing?

A question about funny movies - can you bear to laugh after the

surgery? Right now, when I have facial/jaw pain, smiling is the

most painful thing I can do. Whenever I want to laugh, I have to

hold my face down with my hands to keep the cheekbone pain under

control. When people know I'm having bad days, they'll say, " No

laughing! " and then do something to make me laugh, just to hear me

laugh and whimper in the same breath.

Is it going to be less painful after surgery, or will I be so numb I

won't feel myself laughing?
