Guest guest
I was hoping to spend today getting ready for the surgery tomorrow (The 17th), but when I went out for my last big meal last night, I get very sick - like a stomach virus or something. Maybe it was partly just being nervous. I didn't really eat that much. I'm feeling better today, just tired. The doctor's office says it probably won't delay the surgery (which I was really worried that it might). So I'm trying to rest, and I really can't eat much. Guess I'm getting my body used to not eating a lot a bit early.

Guest guest
May all go well for you and may you feel comforted knowing help is available. We'll look forward to hearing from you post-op. surgery tomorrow I'm going in for my surgery tomorrow. Upper jaw -- gummy smile and open bite and advancing the chin. I was lucky that I didn't need braces before (I had them years ago) but just got them on today. What a wierd feeling -- the coloured elastics are fun though. This website has been a great help. At first I thought that I didn't want to know too much about the surgery because I would freak myself out, but many of the hints have been great. I have no idea how long I'll be wired or on liquid diet, I guess I'll find out as I go along. I have surgery on the 13th and my post-surgery appoitment with my surgeon is scheduled for the 21st. So maybe the wires come off then. Anyway, I just wanted to post for the first time to get into the loop. I'm off work until Feb. 2, so I will probably be asking many questions when I get home from the surgery.
