Underbite Surgery...questions

Hi,

Im currently 19 years old, a student, and looking to get surgery

done on my underbite (Class III). I am looking at surgery only on

the lower jaw. Right now I am 10 months into braces. If any of you

can answer the followign questions, thatd be great:

1. I am from Georgia, but I go to school in New Jersey. The time of

my surgery will be late summer, but it looks like Ill only have 3

weeks or so to recover before having to go to school. Is this enough

time to be able to function correctly with all daily tasks needed

for school? If anyone reads this who had the same surgery, what type

of recovery time am I looking at?

2. How long before you can start physical exercise again? I heard

having an operation on the lower jaw only will not be as bad as both

jaws in terms of recovery time. Is that true?

3. Does anyone know any good Oral Surgeons in the Atlanta area (I

figure emory may have some, but dont know exactly)? Also, is it

possible to have the surgery done in atlanta, but go back to school

in New Jersey and have an oral surgeon up there to my checkups (just

wondering if there is liability concern)
