Guest guest
HI EVERYONE! HOPE EVERYBODY IS OK AND PROGRESSING WELL PRE OR POST OP! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL- a bit late i know.lol. I am currently doing a project at university for my art and design course. I am hoping to take into account this group and also photos of the journey we all go through-though the photos will be of myself- as the project has a personal theme. my question is does anyone know how to access the photos on site one? as when i try it says group error check. unfortunatley i dont have any photos of my surgery at uni and i am unsure whether we have any at home. if anyone can help here i would be very greatful! Thanks! For the new memebers i will just fill you in on my status. Im 18, currently at uni. I started treatment for a class III underbite when i was 12/13. I was in braces from the age of 13 and still wear them now at night. I had my first surgery april 2002, to remove my wisdom teeth (17). Followed by double jaw surgery on the 1st of august 2002. I was So excited to have my operation, and i have to say the experience wasnt as bad as i had thought it would be. I would say that the removal of wisdom teeth in my experience was worse than the actual jaw surgery. FOr my jaw surgery i had my jaw broken 5 times, the top moved forward app 7mm, and the bottom taken back about 5/6mm. Also the palate of my mouth was broken and moved forward. I also had some sinus work done. When i first found this group app a week before my jaw surgery, i was a little apprehensive about the whole thing. I was so taken aback with the genorosity of the people on these boards and they really did make me feel more relaxed and focus on the good side of the surgery. I also have dissolveable plates and screws which i still have today, well i know i have two screws under each eye, im not sure about the plates. They are meant to last full strength for 9 months, then the following 9 months dissolve into the blood stream. That about sums me up, oh images from my surgery are under katerina on site one, tho theres a problem with the photos bit at the moment. Good luck for anyone with up coming surgery!
