Guest guest
His name sounds vaguely familiar but I don't know anything about him. I was probably unwise, but I just went with the surgeon my ortho recommended, and didn't do a great deal of research on what other docs were out there or I'd probably know more about Wolford. (My ortho's very well-respected, and he said he'd pick my surgeon if it were HIS kid having surgery--I'm 34, which tells you how old my ortho is....). Baylor's a great hospital, though. I'm with Neil--if you can find someone good in your home town, it would sure be easier. The recovery sounds pretty heinous, and there's a lot to be said for staying in your own room. If there's no one decent in Vegas, though, you're probably smart to travel (I'd be really scared of a mediocre surgeon when you think about all that's involved in the surgery :0 ). If you end up picking Dallas, let me know and I'll let you know what I can about hotels, etc... around Baylor (my dad had angioplasty and some other stuff there last year). Best of luck with your search! > > > I am planning to have surgery very far from where I live (surgery > > in > > > Dallas, I live in Las Vegas). Guest guest
Amy, Thanks, I appreciate it. I am 37. Dr. Wolford was recommended by my ortho here in Vegas under " I would let him operate on my face (the ortho) " He is a clinical professor at Baylor and fairly well known for his work. Of course, nobody turned me down in Vegas, but I am not completely confident here. > > > > I am planning to have surgery very far from where I live > (surgery > > > in > > > > Dallas, I live in Las Vegas).
