Guest guest Posted January 16, 2004 Report Share Posted January 16, 2004 Hi All, I am one of Dec 10th crowd, five weeks and just got unwired last week. I can just get a small straw in finally. My OS says don't open any further until 8 weeks. Well, he has nothing to worry about since I couldn't open if I tried!! So I'm still on smoothies and soup. Yuk! I still have the splint, probably will for another 2 weeks. Can't wait to get that out! Now, I was feeling like I had stitches on the inside because my tongue has been feeling something since surgery. The stitches have healed nicely on the outside of my jaw (in my mouth) and also the small site on either side on my face. I finally figured out it must be the screws poking through.
