Guest guest
I've rarely heard of Invisalign braces being used for orthognathic surgery patients. There are a handful out there, but that's not the usual type of braces that are used. Usually it's the standard brackets attached to the teeth and with an archwire. I had upper porcelain (sometimes called ceramic) braces to make them less visible. I can't say I loved them, but they were a heck of a lot better looking than all stainless steel. Some orthos and surgeons don't like porcelain brackets for surgery patients, so make sure you ask the pros what your options are. > I am considering having surgery done for an overbite, i know that you > have to wear braces for 1-2 years beforehand but am just wondering if > anyone can tell me what type is required.
