I had upper/lower/genio. Some days I'm happy with my appearance, some

days I'm not. Pain wise, it wasn't worth it for me - it's actually

gotten worse. But, like I said - my case is pretty rare.

Take Care,

Ohhhh, poooh! I just tried to do a post to you, and lost it by a

button pushed by mistake.

Anyhow. Andy. DO NOT FEEL FOREIGN HERE!!! Hey. This group is for

folks having problems with mouth stuff! You qualify, major league! OK?

Now then. Does being a leap year baby mean that you only get a

birthday every four years? If so, many happy returns, and enjoy your

youth!

Indeed, tell Papa to put on his best Big Bazooomer suit to talk with

the doc. That's loony, in my humble opinion, that your docs don't

care about your residual functional results, nor the pain you have

remaining and the numbness. Somebody oughta jerk 'em on a short

collar, in my book. But that's just my o. Still, let Papa be the

biggest, bestest Greek Column on the block, with all the gilded

acanthus leaves in place.

Normal for the joint to pop in and out??? Well, mine does not. What

else can I say? I would not be happy if it did.

Nor if my knee did, for that matter. And yes, I can certainly

understand your frustration.

You wanna come down and see my nice doc? Holler at me, and I'll send

his name and address. I think at least he would deal straight with

you about what he could and could not do...

Just out of curiosity, Andy...having a birthday on 29 Feb, do you actually

celebrate every year on the 28th or maybe 1 Mar? How does that work? I've

always wondered about that. Myself, my bday is on 25 Apr and I celebrate from

15 Apr - 15 May every year. :-)

Smooches

to cammie

Cammie,

I'm currently going home for my birthday next weekend (I'm a leap

year baby) and I've got an appt with my ortho. I'm making my dad come

with my mother and I because he's incredibly imposing. He's a big

business man - and it'll help us because my ortho doesn't seem to

take me or my mom seriously. I'm hoping that something good will come

of it.

I'm trying to get an MRI scheduled during my spring break (which

starts the second week of March), and I've been trying to find

specialists and what not, but my parents insist on me going back to

the ortho and surgeon even though I know they don't care. My surgeon

even said " oh, it's normal for your joint to pop out of place, it's

just like a knee joint, etc. " Um, when he said that I couldn't

believe it. He basically said the most complex joint in our body

just " pops out of place, and you just have to pop it back in. "

RIGHT... See where my frustration comes from?

Anyways, thanks for all of your concern. I feel so foreign to the

board, so many new people and so many vets are gone! I'm glad you're

doing well though...

Take it easy!

Andy

I celebrate on both the 28th and 1st most of the time. Why not? It's

all up to me. :) One thing that stinks though, is that restaurants

don't sing to me unless it really IS my birthday (the 29th), and so

I've never had that experience. Oh well! Maybe this year?

Whoo-eee! for multiple celebrations, Andy.

But I can tell you that it's overrated to be sung at.

As a newspaper reporter, I had done a story about the nice local

barbershop people who sing in quartets. And deliver singing messages

in celebration. So I got " treated " to a serenade, in the major lobby

of the newspaper building, at 8 a.m., when I walked in to go to

work...

Not the best adventure of my life, with everybody coming out from

upstairs offices to watch.

It's overrated to be sung at.

Trust me on that one.

However, if you wish for me to sing to you, I shall. You will live

to regret it, though:

Ba-ba-boom-pah-ba-boom. Ba-ba-boom-pah-ba-boom. Bah-ba-boom-pah-bah-

bah-boom-pah, bah-bah-boom-pah-bah-boom.

You do not wish to hear the accompanying harmonics.

You would be wise, as well, to trust me on that one.

And no. I do not play the trumpet. A failed flautist (not enough

wind, and unable to support the instrument and play the holes) but a

passable pianist, many, many Feb. 29ths ago...

C.

I do know a couple who got married on your birthday, one year, when

it happened. They have been around a while, and are sweet and

adoring. But they've only celebrated four or five anniversaries...
