Hi Everyone,

After six wks of the stint and being wired torture it all comes out

tommorow. I thought this day wd never come. I cant wait to talk

normally and eat anything solid. No more being called mush mouth by

my boyfriend or forget it it not worth it from my friends. I think I

have a new sensitivity to the struggle disabled people have to go

through every day of their lives. Communication is such a gift. I am

so blessed that I am healthy.

How sore is my jaw going to be? What kind of food can u eat? How long

till ur jaw get strong? Will I look much different with the stint and

wires out? How long till u can return to work? I teach Health and PE

in middle school. I do a lot of yelling in a good way. Kind of

demanding on the jaw. I had lower jaw surgery of 3mm to fix a

crooked overbite.

As I always mention I am soooooooo happy wih that I did the surgery.

I am sorry I didnt do it sooner. I love the way it looks so does my

boyfriend. Symetry is great. Cant wait to see how well it functions.

I do not have any bad side effects. I hope that is encouraging to

anyone who is considering the surgery. So many people tried to talk

me out of the surgery because it wasent an obvious deformity to most

people nor did they understand the TMJ problems I went through. I

know every case is different but to me this surgery is so worth it

even being wired six wks. The best to all Thanks, .
