Guest guest
Alix, Thank you for such a positive post! I am 6 days post op (upper - up 5mm, lower forward 20mm!). I am hoping that I have results similar to yours! Take care! and enjoy that pizza! Britt > Hey all, Life is busy around here so I am rarely on this site > lately. Guest guest
I'll second that - thanks, Alix, for such a wonderfully encouraging post! That's great that you have such good results and are back to enjoying the small things in life like a good slice of pizza. Congrats on making it through and back to normal, and I'm so glad you posted! It really helps those of us still on our way. (I'm 10 days post-op and already not numb for the most part, go figure!) I am so happy for you that the surgery was a complete sucess. You have been a big help to me through this process. Thanks for that. I agree with you. It is a life changing surgery. I love the way more jaw looks. How it improved my appearance. I have no swelling at this point. I remember as probably u experienced all the people that tried to talk u out of the surgery. If it isnt a obvious deformity to most they think ur crazy for going through it. Now that I have done it all my friends that tried to talk me out of it, keep telling me how great it looks and how I did a smart thing. I havent really had any TMJ problems lately either, but it is early. I get my wires out tommorow. I am so excited I cant wait. Ur right the worst part is being wired. I cant wait to talk without a struggle and eat anything that hasent gone through my blender first. U were right about how ur jaw just feel like it is in right place for the first time. I am sure it will function a lot better too. I have a slight bit of numbness on my right side under my lip but it is very slight at this point. This seems to get less and less daily. I guess from my positive I am very prosurgery like you. Any advice on what to expect tommorow when I get the wires and stint out. Do you look the same? God Bless you. All the best Alix >
