Guest guest
I think all of us are impatient, Tania, about one thing or another. Yes, I think you will happily kiss again. But just over a month isn't reallyl much time to heal from all the work you had. And I think that tightness in the mouth is a pretty frequent symptom for those who have upper. (I had only lower.) Almost everyone finds that it does go away, but it can take a while. I remember Fiddlesticks saying that she couldn't find her smile for a long time. Does your surgeon want you to be talking much? At one month, my surgeon did not want me to do so. And my jaws did indeed grow weary, and even swelled if I got carried away with the talking. Some docs encourage talking; others advise going slowly. You might wanna check with yours. Best, Cammie > > Kissing? > > Hello > > I am 37 days post op and i suppose doing fine. I had both jaws moved and genio also. But I still see some swelling in my cheeks and still feel tender. > > The numbness is slowly getting better, still have tight upper lip area, especially in the morning...is this normal...and when i wake up i still feel very sensitive in the mouth ..is this normal? > > I am worried about kissing...I feel very sensitive...and at the moment wont kiss anyone..(my face feels tender), how long do i have to wait????At the moment i still feel like i talk with cotton balls in my mouth or am i just being too impatient. > > Thanks for listening Tania > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo!
