Hey, guys. The No-Fenol and Peptizyde AFP are currently available as

of rigth now. I saw the site just now and the ordering information is

up as well....so if you have been waiting.

No-Fenol is for phenolic foods and artificial ingredients and

preservatives.

Peptizyde AFP is a version of Peptizyde without any fruit-derived

proteases (bromelain, papain, actinidin (kiwi)) which may be helpful

to those that are sensitive to phenols or maybe sulfur too.

Thanks , we have just placed our order - this is so exciting to us as

our child did a trial with the no phenol - he's been on enzymes now for

eight months and is flying - the no phenol is going to help him take

another giant step forward in concentration and being with us more and more

- this is so wonderful

,

I'm pretty excited myself. Was your ds on pep. and zp while trying

the No Fenol? What positives did you see? Did you give with all

food or just when you suspected high phenols? Did you use it with

art. colors and flavors? Last one, is your ds on any special diet or

just the enzymes?

Sorry for all the questions, but I want as much info as possible

before we start them. Can't wait to see what happens...

God Bless,

Sally

Hi Sally, our child takes both with all meals and snacks and while we

trialed the no phenol one I gave that to him with all meals and snacks as

well - our child is not on any diet anymore - was for almost three years

with minor improvements, but lots of stimmy, zoney days - since on enzymes

we are back on normal diet with restricted dairy i.e. no drinks of milk or

with cereal, but in other foods where in recipe etc. - has goats milk as

substiture - he has steadily improved over the last 8 months - - we

spent two days teaching our child how to tolerate taking the capsules

pulled apart and then having them placed in his mouth - he hated this for a

start but is fine with it now and understands that the enzymes lead to

yummy food - our child is classified as severe to moderate range - I would

put him in the moderate range now and at this rate of progress can see him

moving up to mild in about 4 months time - he is seven years of age and has

always done intensive ABA and Precision Teaching - for many hours per week,

now he is getting it and his language is good, so easy to teach, plus much

more social and wanting to join in etc.

Good luck - this has been the biggest gain for our child because he is calm

enough now to participate - he is on no vitamins,or EFAs, and on one

medication which we have been able to half over time.

We have done about 8 rounds of chelation, but found it really hard on him

so now using PCA in a trial for a month or so to see if there are anymore

improvements and will then have his levels re tested etc.

I feel like the enzymes settle the child enough to try other things and be

able to be objective in making decisions as he is either stable or not

depending on the other things, his diet and digestive system I can now

trust to be okay.

Good luck

Cheers H

Hi,

Thanks for the info, just ordered mine (the no fenol and the new

peptizyde). My son Michel has been on peptizyde/zyme prime since

July 01 with good results. But in the meantime I've realised that he

does not handle phenol foods and has the pst problem (which is

actually probably the reason he did not handle peptizyde on it's own

but only when I added zyme prime to it, probably zyme prime was

already helping somewhat with the phenol issue), so I've had to

suppress many foods and he really is on a very strict diet

(Feingold). So I hope with the no fenol and can enlarge is food and

specially the fruits (he reacts to most fruits, I've only been able

to keep the pears).

And mostly, since I assume that notwithstanding the strict diet he

still get phenols/salycilates in his food (it's really impossible to

supress them, even on the strictest diet) I do hope I can obtain

even more progress with no fenols.

The things I noticed :

- he had more energy and more awareness and interest in the world

when I put him on enzymes last summer

- but I did have to implement the Feingold diet in the autumn to

really improve his attention span and cognitive functions. So I hope

I can get that with the no fenol and enlarge his food (especially as

summer is coming, I feel so guilty of depriving him of all fruits,

yet he reacts very badly to bananas, apples, oranges, well.. just

anything but pears and coconuts..).

Even with the enzymes he still has soft light colored stools. (he

always had a tendency to diarhea, it was even worse before the

enzymes). I do not know if the new enzymes will help with that.

anyway, I will keep posted of the results.

bye

That is all I can find too. Here is what came with my last order:

AFP Peptizyde

No Fruit enzymes

No Odor or Taste

High DPP IV Product

For those who are sensitive to fruit-based enzymes such as bromelain

and papain, HNI is pleased to offer an all-fungal protease (AFP)

version of the best-selling Peptizyde. Papain, which imparts

a " distinctive " aroma to Peptizyde, has been removed from the AFP

Peptizyde and replaced with another fungal protease with similar

proteolytic activity. AFP Peptizyde has no taste or smell, yet

retains the high DPP IV peptidase of the original Peptizyde. Children

who object to the original Peptizyde may find this version more

palatable. May be used with Zyme Prime and/or No-Fenol.

Recommended Use:

Use 1 or 2 capsules per meal as an alternative to Peptizyde, or if

sensitive to papaya enzymes.

Peptidase (with DPP IV)...50,000 HUT

Protease 4.5 .............25,000 HUT

Protease 6.0 .............25,000 HUT

90 capsules for $22.00

Then from other brochure:

AFP Peptizyde - for those sensitive to Papain (or its odor!)

AFP Peptizyde is dosed in the same manner as Peptizyde. The only

difference between these two products is that papain has been

eliminated from AFP Peptizyde, and another fungal protease added to

it. Both Peptizydes contain high amounts of DPP IV peptidase. Use AFP

Peptizyde if a child is intolerant of papain enzymes and/or does not

like the odor associated with original Peptizyde (which is due to the

sulfite-free papain).

Both Peptizyde or AFP Peptizyde are for enhanced breakdown of food

proteins, including casein, gluten, and soy. Decreases exorphin

peptides derived from foods. Useful as alternative to or supplement

to the GFCF diet. Dosage: 1 to 3 capsules with each meal.

I will add one note that the AFP lists 50,000 HUT of DPP IV

containing peptidase whereas the original lists 62,500 HUT of DPP IV.

I am trying a bottle of the AFP to see if this makes any difference

with regular use (and you WILL hear about it if it does! LOL). We are

very sensitive to casein, but really, after about 1 year on

Peptizyde, that sensitivity has dropped off considerably.
