Clenching Teeth After Surgery

Hi all,

I had upper/lower and genio surgery on November 17th. I love my new

bite and my swelling and numbness has almost entirely subsided.

My problem now is that I seem to be clenching my teeth at night. I

often wake up in the middle of the night with severe pain in my right

jaw joint and the pain shoots up into my ear. Every morning I wake

up with pain that usually disappears by mid morning. I also find

that when I yawn my right jaw joint is very sore.

Before surgery I did not clench my teeth. I had an overbite and I

always slept with my mouth wide open. I had TMJ in my right jaw

joint and I would hear a clicking noise when I opened my mouth wide.

Since surgery, the clicking noise is gone.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
