Guest guest
My ANA came back positive. It showed " speckled " . I have no idea what that means. Does any one. My ANA said " positive, 1:40, speckled. On the report it stated the speckled pattern are suggestive of Lupus (SLE), Mixed connective Tissue Disease, scleroderma, Sjogren's Synd. These were with high titers. With low titers it suggests autoimmune liver disease, ulcerative colitis. The suggested follow up tests were Anti -Sm anti RNP Anti SS-A Anti SS-B anti-Scl-70 They tested me for SSA and SSB which were both neg. The reference range for ANA were low titer 1:40-1:80 mod titer 1:60-1:32 high titer >1:640 These tests were done 11/99. No dr has suggested doing another repeat test. Do they do them on a reg basis? Or just do one and leave it alone? Guess I need to get busy and start asking some questions to the dr. C
Guest guest
Thanks Diane, my understanding was high ANA with a negative ENA. I also have diabetes and who the hell knows what else. Now with the dermatitis and all. But my ANA has been very high since 98 plus the ears were hugh, red, swollen so that's where we came up with diagnosis. Also, thanks for the info on Dr. Hermans article, will print it out immediately. Your a pal.....Sue
