Guest guest
Ok...I will have to start trying the blender out. I purchased a hot red kitchen aid blender before my surgery and am to much of a whimp to blend anything. I guess I'm freaked out that it will taste different. I think I will just have to bite the bullet and go for it. I agree with you, starting with soups & stews would probably be best and then work from there. Ooohhhh, a cheese steak! ok so did you throw it in the blender and then put some beef broth in there too? I drove by a philli cheese steak place today that I go to all the time and drooled! Tomorrow I will blend soup! I'll let you know how it goes! Thanks for your post...I've had kind of a downer day today..tired etc. Britt > > > > I am schedule for surgery later this month and I concerned about > > the > > > > amount of pain that I will be in afterwards. Guest guest
Hey, Britt! I had kinda of a downer day, too. I guess there will be ups and downs. Ha ha--I got a real nice *white* kitchen aid blender for the occasion. :-) YEP just pop a cheesesteak (made or bought)in the blender, and 2 pieces of bread with no crust, thin with broth and water. Yum. And you'll notice that the tastes are pretty much the same as the non-blended varieties, just the texture is different. OH, you'll have to strain it, unless you're unbanded. I have to strain everything cause otherwise they clog up my braces! Good luck! Eileen Ok...I will have to start trying the blender out. Guest guest
That's awesome that you have a kitchen aid too! Funny! Yeah, ups and downs...need to focus on the ups though! Keep positive. I try to get out everyday for a short walk or something so I don't feel so cooped up. My surgeon said I can unband myself to eat. Would you still recommend straining? It's so hard to keep the teephers clean. Have a good night and a better day tomorrow. Thanks, Britt > > > > > > I am schedule for surgery later this month and I concerned > > about > > > > the > > > > > > amount of pain that I will be in afterwards. Guest guest
That's a good idea: I think I'm gonna take a short walk. Maybe that will help me feel better. I feel tired, but I can't relax enough to nap. A walk might me just the thing! I'm gonna stop straining as soon as I can unband! Straining is a real pain. I guess just take extra time to clean those teeth, just in case.
