I have had mine in since the middle of December. I just had my

surgery (Maxillary osteotomy) about a week and half ago. I don't

expect it (sarpe) to be in past March. I have an appontment with my

Ortho next week, so I'll ask him how long he thinks it will be in. I

know exactly what you mean about wanting it out, I'm with you. After

the fist couple of weeks I kind of got used to it, but I'm sure I

sound pretty funny sometimes...Alot!, especailly to the people that

work for me. I'm a supervisor, so I'm talking all day long. I don't

know if they make fun of me behind my back, but I don't really care,

The way I sound, makes me laugh sometimes. One thing I learned about

this whole experience is that you can't take yourself to seriously

or you'll end up beating your self up to a pulp. Enough rambling.

later...

Fred,

I got an estimate of 6 months from my surgeon (but I didn't even

start yet, I'm getting my SARPE (or distraction osteogenesis as the

surgeon calls it) on March18th. I'm getting a helix, what kind of

expander do you have?
