Guest guest
Well, I was gonna suggest a decongestant, but I see your surgeon has beaten me to it. (That's why we pay these guys the big bucks, I reckon!) Seriously, I have had pretty good luck with Claritin for such problems in general. And it doesn't make me sleepy, either. And yes, folks have had such problems after work on the upper. There was one young woman, a while back, who posted, it seemed, every 15 minutes lamenting that her ear stopped up when she went over little hills. I dunno whether she ever found a resolution that suited her. Cammie > Has anyone found any good relief for ear plugging after upper > jaw surgery? Guest guest
If it helps to hear it from another upper (and lower) post-oper, my ears were plugged for a good two weeks or more after surgery. It was a very good feeling when they suddenly unplugged one day just because they felt like it and were ready to. I think that decongestants might help, but ultimately you just have to give things time to let the swelling go down. Hang in there! > > Has anyone found any good relief for ear plugging after upper > > jaw surgery? My right ear has been plugged for 10 days now. > > (Surgery was 14 days ago).
