Guest guest
sara, i'm sure your surgery will go well. these doctors do these all the time, it's so easy for them! i really like my surgeon. we get along very well and i trust him. i also trust my orthodontist and since he recommended my OS, i had no doubt in my mind that i had the best doctor possible. because of this i wasn't nervous about surgery at all. i figured he knows exactly what he's doing, i trust him, what's there to worry about? i'll also be knocked out during the surgery, so i wasn't nervous about the actualy procedure either. my parents were a different story. my dad couldn't believe how calm i was. you just have to believe that everything will be ok, and it usually will be. about what to bring to the hospital...i brought lots of stuff and used NONE of it. i was so out of it after surgery that i pretty much laid in bed or drifted in and out of sleep. reading, listening to music or watching tv was the last thing from my mind. the one thing that i was happy to have was my digital camera. my friend and parents documented my time in the hospital. it was interesting to see considering i didn't even remember them taking them good luck with everything! you'll be fine! btw, i had upper and genio on dec. 17. just get through the first 3 days, then the rest will go by faster than you think! --- legally_blonde790 sara_pickles@...> wrote: --------------------------------- oh golly golly gosh, im so SCARED. my op is on MONDAY MORNING! only a day of my underbite left! im starting to wonder whether i should have gone through with this, many of the messages posted on this site are negative! what if mine goes wrong?! ahhhhh please someone reassure me! im having my bottom jaw moved back, is this a less serious or more serious op to have (compared to other jaw ops)? also, what do i take to hospital?? thanks guys, all help is much appretiated! sara x
