Guest guest Posted January 25, 2004 Report Share Posted January 25, 2004 Yep, daughter developed the same thing aroung 10 days post op. Very itchy and bumpy. Doc said it was a type a acne and told her to wash with a Benzoyl Peroxide acne wash. It really helped to dry up excess oil which also helped to releive the itching. It will dry out your face (skin) so she used a oil free moisturizer. As far as the peeling, her face started to peel after she started to dry it up, so I don't know if it's from the face wash treatment or not. Doc also said she could take a benadryl to help with itching. That worked, but made her a little sleepy.
