I stopped coming here because I didn't feel supported and today someone IMed me from one of these lists and made me feel worse. After all these years. I know that support is unavailable unless I have the surgery and I am not, so I ask that I not be contacted again. I have quite enough pain in my life without help. Thank you. I'm sorry that you are in pain and not supported. Most of the people on this site are genuinely caring and wouldn't dream of influencing anyone to have surgery if he/she were opposed to it. If you feel that this site isn't appropriate for you, there are several TMJ/pain sites on Yahoo where the members are all, unfortunately, suffering and may be even more empathetic.
