My back teeth don't touch and when I asked my ortho what more he actually had to do he said to close a little space I had and to bring my back teeth down. So I was wondering, how do they bring the back teeth down? with elastics? I didn't ask him while I was there but I probably will when I go next month, I was just wondering what you guys thought. Mine used a step-down wire on my front 4 teeth to bring them down about 1 1/2mm. > Our ortho puts a certain 'kink' in the wires in the exact spot that he wants the teeth to come down. Guest guest Posted January 15, 2004 Report Share Posted January 15, 2004 For the past 5 weeks, my ortho had me wearing one elastic on each side in the back and my bite closed quite a bit. At my appt yesterday, he did something to my wires and now I wear elastics all over the front of my mouth - none it the back. Smooches bring back teeth down Oh, I have a question.
