Guest guest
wow! thats good to get others opinions. i had braces twice. i saw one orthodontist. he worked on my mom too. then he retired and his son took over, so his son did my next set of braces. surgery was my ONLY option for correction. and if surgery is not an only option- that would be so cool to skip the surgery and have just the ortho work, or what do they mean??. from the things i have read that you have wrote, i know how you feel.. and the surgery did give me that way greater self esteem. i am so thankful for it. and no way is there anything wrong with wanting to feel comfortable and have a high self esteem! anyway, good luck with your mom.. i truely hope the best comes out of your guys' discussion! amanda > > > > Thanks for your suggestions guys, you've all been helpful. > Thanks > > amanda for sympathising. Guest guest
Trouble is, honey, you need to be sure you ask, among your other questions, what will give you the best hope of long-term retention of the changes... Unless you enjoy having braces again (and paying for them!) every few years. I'm not saying it never happens. But I and many others have been told that surgery is the best true hope to hang on to the changes made.
