Things have been pretty good until the day after Xmas when I flared again. Now for some reason I have lesions on my arms and legs...Medical opinion? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. So any advise is appreciated. Sue > Marth....good to see ya all. Hi Sue Marth, I too get lesions on my legs and arms. The doctor says it's vasculitis and can go along with RP. Sorry you have this too. It is awful stuff. My legs have scars on them from all the flares I've had. The prednisone doesn't really help that much in clearing it up. At least it doesn't for me. Sure appreciate the help/.. ....Sue Dear Sue, Sorry you have this. I've got the lesions right now on my right ankle, my shin bone, the outside edges of my right leg. They are red, very sore and they tend to swell at first. Also have some small ones around the same areas. I've had this for well over a year. The doctor put me on prednisone and plaquenil. I got a horrible reaction to the plaquenil so had to stop it. Now the doctor wants me on methotrixate. I filled the prescription, but haven't started taking them yet. Should have, then maybe I wouldn't be in the shape I'm in now. I also have RP.They did a biopsy of the lesions and said it was vasculitis. It's weird stuff. Some times I can go for weeks and not having any lesions, then, wham, I get them again, for no apparent reason. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. How are you being treated for this?
