worse: on Pep or potatoes?

Hello everybody,

I don't understand what' s going on. I started giving No-Fenol to my

GFCF 8-yr old on Aug 12th, and Peptizyde on Aug 18th. I started both

from 1/4 cap, and every two days increased the amount twice, until 1

cap. On N-F, he seemed to have improved: when he started getting 1

cap, he stopped perseverating on his favourite tigers, and was more

alert. However, with Pep he started perseverating again, also very

whiny and uncompliant, more spacing, less responsive to name. On the

other hand, when we started Pep, we were staying at grandma's house

for a week, and she was feeding him fried potatoes that he loves

(home-made, no gluten, fried in olive oil) much more than I usually

do. Today on the plane back home I fed him a bowl of home-made mashed

potatoes (with both enzymes), and in about an hour he was scratching,

uncompliant, whining and talking nonsense, mostly about tigers. Later

I gave him a bowl of home-made rice (with both enzymes), and later

still a big peach (with N-F), and he was rather cooperative and

staying on the topic, though still scratching a little after rice

(less than after potatoes). What in the world is going on?

1) can Pep give such a reaction (perseveration, spacing, itching,

etc.)?

2) can it be potatoes? has anyone heard of an allergy to potatoes?

3) if it is potatoes, maybe it is a yeast issue (carbohydrates =>

sugar = food to yeast)? But what's the difference between the

carbohydrates in potatoes and the ones in white rice and peaches?

I'll be so thankful for all suggestions!

Elena
